2-26 System Configuration
This completes the Auto Rebuild and Restore procedure.
To reinstall any of the applications or online documents, or to install device
drivers that did not come with your system, follow the procedures in “NEC
Select Install CD.”
Restore any application or driver that was not provided by NEC by using the
vendor diskette(s) or CD-ROM(s) included in its original packaging.
Custom Rebuild and Restore
To perform a custom OS Restore with choices on repartitioning and/or
reformatting the hard drive, boot the system from the NEC OS Restore CD.
When the system boots from the CD, it automatically loads the MS-DOS-based
Operating System Restore program.

CAUTION
The OS Restore program deletes all the data on your hard
drive. If possible, back up your data before performing an
OS restore.
Follow these steps to perform a customized restore of your original, factory-
installed operating system using OS Restore:
1.
Power on or restart the system and immediately insert the NEC OS Restore
disc into the CD-ROM drive.
After the system boots from the CD, the Operating System Restore
Welcome screen appears (see the following screen).
