4. Check if the fault is solved by steps 1 ~ 3.
If solved, finish the process.
If not, contact engineer from our company for additional troubleshooting.

The IP camera frequently goes online and offline and the status is displayed
as “Disconnected”.
Possible Reasons:

The IP camera and the NVR versions are not compatible.

Unstable power supply to IP camera.

Unstable network between IP camera and NVR.

Limited flow by the switch connected with the IP camera and NVR.
Corrective Actions:
1. Verify the IP camera and the NVR versions are compatible.
a. Access the IP camera Management screen Menu -> Camera -> Camera -> IP
Camera and view the firmware version for the connected IP camera.
b. Access the System Info screen Menu -> Maintenance -> System Info -> Device
Info and view the NVR firmware version.
2. Verify the IP camera power supply is stable.
a. Verify the power indicator is normal.
b. When the IP camera is offline, try the ping command on the PC to check if the PC
connects with the IP camera.
3. Verify the network between the IP camera and NVR is stable.
a. When the IP camera is offline, connect the PC and NVR with the RS-232 cable.
b. Open the Super Terminal, use the ping command and keep sending large data
packages to the connected IP camera. Check if a packet loss exists.
Example: Enter ping 172.6.22.131 –l 1472 –f.
4. Verify the switch does not have a flow control problem.
Check the brand and model of the switch connecting the IP camera and NVR.
Contact the manufacturer of the switch to check if it has a flow control function. If so,
turn it down.
5. Check if the fault is solved using steps 1 ~ 4.
If solved, finish the process.
If not, contact engineer from our company for additional troubleshooting.

Press Ctrl and C simultaneously to exit the ping command.
