1. Installing Internal Optional Devices

Express5800/T120e User’s Guide

Chapter 2 Preparations

Unlock the fan bracket, and remove the failed fan from fan case. For locking mechanism of each fan unit,

see below.

Insert the fan unit for replacement into fan case.

Be sure to install fan unit for replacement.

Confirm that no error messages are displayed in POST screen or STATUS LED does not show an error.

If any error messages are displayed, refer to

Chapter 3 (1. POST Error Message) in "Maintenance

Guide

Tips

The failed fan unit can be replaced while the system is powered on if hot-plug

redundant fan units are used.
