1.14.1  Installation 

Install an optical disk drive in the following procedure. 

1.  

Refer to steps 1 to 7 in 

Chapter 2

 (

1.3 Overview of Installation and Removal

) for preparations.

Pull out the 5.25-inch device bay cover from additional slot 1. 

 

 

Important

 

If an additional slot 1 contains any 5.25-inch device, remove the device 

before installing an optical disk drive. 

 

3.  

Align the screw hole of optical disk drive with protrusion at left side of optical disk drive bay, and press the 

upper right portion of optical disk drive to seat the drive. 

 

 

 

4.  

Connect a cable to optical disk drive. 

5.  

Attach a 5.25-inch device bay cover to additional slot 1.
