Cleaning the LC800 printers.
Problem: Grey fill on large black areas.
Solution: Clean the LED Head Assembly.
Turn the printer off, take out the PC Drum and put it in its case.
Look inside the printer on the top for a yellow bar. Push the yellow bar up and look behind it for a
label that says Head Assy.
About 1 inch to left of the label, you will find a white wheel. Eight inches from that wheel on the
right, there is another just like it. Between those two white wheels is the lens of the printer. Take a
clean, dry cloth and wipe the lens.
Reason: Paper dust and moisture accumulate on the lens causing the light to spread out when shined on the
PC Drum, causing a grey hallow or grey fill in large black area’s.
