7-3. When You Suspect Failure
This section describes how to cope with trouble.
See the following to find out your problem and follow instructions given.
If the same error persists, contact your service representative.
Power is not supplied:
Check the LED indication according to (2.2 Status LEDs) in the SwitchX 36-Port QSFP FDR InfiniBand
System Hardware User Manual.
If the installation status of this product is suspected, check the following and take an action
appropriately.
Is power supplied to the product properly?
Check the power supply status on switchboard and circuit breaker. Check also connection status
of power cords.
Does power supply unit work normally?
Check the status of power supply unit according to (2.2.4 Power Supply Status LEDs) in the
SwitchX 36-Port QSFP FDR InfiniBand System Hardware User Manual.
When failed to connect via serial port:
When the serial port of this product does not work correctly, check the following:
Is the port properly configured for connection?
Check connection settings on communication software according to (3.9 Internally Managed
Switch Configuration) in the SwitchX 36-Port QSFP FDR InfiniBand System Hardware User
Manual.
Is cable connected to correct destination port?
Check if conversion cable is connected to proper destination port according to (3.9 Internally
Managed Switch Configuration) in the SwitchX 36-Port QSFP FDR InfiniBand System Hardware
User Manual.
Do you use the proper conversion cable?
Check if RS232 DB9-RJ45 conversion cable (provided with this product) is used or not.
