Upgrading Your Tape Blade

Removal

To remove the board, follow the procedure below:

After the shutdown processing for the CPU blade in the slot adjacent to the Tape Blade to
be removed, turn off the power of the CPU blade. The Tape Blade is powered off
automatically.

Pull out the Tape Blade from the Blade Enclosure.

Place the Tape Blade on anti-static sheet with little dust.

Remove the two screws fixing the top cover.

Firmly hold the cover, move it slightly toward the rear of the blade, then lift the cover to
remove it from the Tape Blade.

IMPORTANT:

Handle the cover carefully so as not to make it contact

with any electronic components on the Tape Blade.

Remove the three screws from the mezzanine card.

Hold both ends of the mezzanine card and pull out the card from the slot.

Lift the card perpendicular to the Tape Blade.

Install the top cover having been removed.

Secure the top cover with two screws.

Install the Tape Blade having been removed to the Blade Enclosure.
