Before calling

Pre-call signal
It is possible to have a signal sounding before the home care phone makes the
call to the alarm central. This only applies to
User alarms
.
During this period it is possible to interrupt the alarm if it was activated by mis
-
take. The user will also always be aware of that NEO IP/GSM is calling.

3.7 Calling
This is how long the home care phone should wait for an answer.
To set the time to wait for answer, see 8.11.1 Outgoing call on page 45.
3.8 Protocols
The home care phone NEO IP/GSM can communicate with number of different
protocols, where some of the most common are:

NEAT TALK
•
CPC
•
Tunstall
•
Home phone (call to normal telephone)

The protocols contain a lot of details and information. Please refer to related
documents for specification of each protocol.
However when the home care phone is configured to call to a normal telephone,
NEO IP/GSM must use the Home phone protocol. To control the conversation in
the Home phone protocol, the alarm receiving party can press the buttons on the
telephone. The meaning of each button is shown below.
