3.5 Alert Diagnostic Display.
The Autopilot software includes a diagnostic facility, which enables fault conditions to be
traced. This is a non operational aspect which should only be referred to in conjunction
with advice from Navitron Systems Ltd should the need arise. The first set of diagnostic
information lists any active engineering alarms (e.g. Steering Fail, Limit Switch Open
etc.).
To Enter Diagnostic Mode:-
(i)
The Autopilot can be operational in the
STANDBY, ON
or
TRACK
mode in
readiness for diagnostic mode entry.
(ii)
Simultaneously operate the
TRACK
and
AUTOTRIM
(OFF/SET) keys for a
period of 5 seconds until
“DIAGS”
appears on the Control Unit display to
confirm entry to the diagnostic mode.
(iii)
There are 13 diagnostic screen sets which
are displayed/stepped through in turn
commensurate with
REMOTE
key
operation. Each screen set shows real time
information related to engineering alarm
status, data communication, component
signal integrity and voltage regulation within
the Autopilot system. The first set of
diagnostic information lists any active
engineering alarms (e.g. Steering Fail, Limit
Switch Open etc.). See Section 3.5.1 for a
full list of possible engineering alarms.
To Exit the Diagnostic Mode.
