MASTER RESET OF DISPLAY UNIT

 

Master reset will restore all device settings back to factory defaults except sensor addresses which will be retained. 
To preform master reset: 

 

Power off the device 

 

Press and hold UP button 

 

Power on the device 

 

When “Master reset...” shows on screen release UP button 

 

Wait until “Done” and device will start normally 

 

TROUBLESHOOTING

 

Symptom 

Action 

The display unit cannot read the 
sensor  
(“No signal” appears on the display) 

- check if the correct sensor address is set on the display unit 
- check the sensor battery 

– replace the battery if needed 

- check the operation at a reduced distance to the display unit 

“Measurement error” appears on the 
screen 
or wrong measurement is displayed 

check “Settings: Tanks: Set min/max level” and compare it to “Current level”. If current 

level is outside the range of min and max this error will appear 

check if “Set min/max level” setting is correct 

check if “Capacity” setting is correct 

check if “Tank shape” is chosen correctly 

- check if sensor is correctly installed  

“Sensor error” appears on the screen 

- Sensor reports problem, see sensor User manual for troubleshooting 

Sensor battery low icon appears on 
the screen 

- Replace sensor battery 

Navis LiveData is not getting updated 
values 

Check if “Settings: Wi-Fi” “SSID” and “Password” are correct and preform “Wi-Fi test” 

Wi-Fi test results: 

 

Connection failed 

– Device could not establish connection to access point (AP), 

check password and range to AP 

 

No internet

– AP does not have connection to world wide web, internet 

- Check if device has sensor connected and is receiving data 

Interrupting and weak sensor signal 

- check for obstructions between sensor and display unit 
- place the sensor or display unit in a different position with better signal reception 
- reduce distance to the display unit 
- change or install auxiliary antenna for the display unit 

Unresponsive display unit  

- (LW410XL/D model) check 3 V CR2032 Lithium battery (button battery) in display unit 

– 

replace the battery if needed  
- (LW410XL/D model) remove 3 V CR2032 Lithium battery and main power supply for 30 
seconds to reset display unit 

Time and date set to default value 

- (LW410XL/D model) check the battery for real time clock battery back-up (3 V CR2032) - 
replace if needed 

“CRITICAL ERROR:” + error 
explanation appears on the screen 

- remove 3 V CR2032 Lithium battery (LW410XL/D model) and main power supply for 30 
seconds to reset display unit 
- if error repeats itself, contact Navis for support 

“WARNING:” + error expla 
“Press middle key to continue...” 
appears on the screen 

- This indicates non critical issues that may occur if device is mishandled, real time clock 
battery runs out of power, external damage such as power surge occurs. Device will display 
this message when it has successfully recovered but has detected an issue. 

 

(LW410XL/D model) RTC malfunction 

– Check Real time clock battery  

 

(Custom, Wi-Fi) Settings reset 

– Some or all user settings have been reset to 

default values, please check all settings for validity 

 

Memory loss detected 

– Device software may be corrupted, please contact Navis 

for support
