The Direction of an Object
The direction of an object from a point can be
specified in either cardinal direction or azimuth. This
watch includes both cardinal direction and azimuth.
The 16 cardinal directions
Cardinal directions are the most commonly used
forms of direction. They inculde North, South, East
and West. This electronic compass has Primary (NE,
NW, SE, SW) and Secondary (NNE, ENE, ESE, SSE,
SSW, WSW, WNW, NNW) InterCardinal directions as
well. Cardinal direction is shown at top left corner.
The Azimuth
Azimuth is defined as the angular difference between
North and the object measured clockwisely. (North is
0 degree. measuring range is from 08 to 3598).
