OPERATING THE TRANSMITTER

Use the Front Panel rotary knob to scroll through the desired SCA settings, then press the Front Panel 
rotary knob to enable editing of the parameter. Within any of the editing screens, use the Front Panel 
rotary knob to edit or toggle a parameter value, noting the minimum and maximum limitations 
indicated at the bottom of the display. When complete, press the Front Panel rotary knob to save the 
change. Note: If you select Internal SCA1 or Internal SCA2, there is a sub-menu that contains additional 
SCA settings. Press the Back button to discard any changes and return to the previous menu.

Note the following SCA options:

•

MPX SCAs: Select enabled or disabled.

•

MPX SCA Input: Select a level between 1 and 5 V peak-to-peak (when MPX SCAs is ON).

•

Int. SCA1 or Int. SCA2.

•

SCA Enable: Select enabled or disabled.

•

SCA Level: Select a level between 0 and 20%.

• SCA Freq: Select a frequency between 20 and 100 kHz.

•

SCA Input: Select a level between -12 and 12 dBu.

•

SCA Low Pass: Select enabled or disabled.

•

SCA Preemph: Select the desired pre-emphasis characteristic - 0 us, 50 us or 75 us.

•

SCA Mode: Select FM or DSB-SC.

Modulation Loss. 

When you select the Modulation Loss heading from the Edit Preset screen, you can 

edit parameters related to a modulation loss. See 

Figure 2.2.81

.
