Option 2 - External Dc Supply
If you plan to use an external dc voltage (12 V to 18 V) as the source for the remote inputs, the type of
connections to the control/interface PWB (A4) are shown in
Figure 1.8.2 .
When the remote input is configured for ‘falling edge’ or ‘active low’ logic, dc voltage must be applied
between J6A-9/21 and the appropriate remote input (1 through 10). When the remote input is
configured for ‘rising edge’ or ‘active high’ logic, an open circuit (no dc voltage) must be applied to the
appropriate remote input (1 through 10).

The momentary switch should be located between the dc supply's negative output and the digital input.
