the air line will cause damage to
the tool. Drain the air tank daily.
Clean the air inlet filter screen at
least per week.
The air inlet used for con nect ing
air supply, has stan dard 1/4" NPT
American Thread. Line pressure
should be increased to compensate
for unusually long air hoses (over
25 feet). Minimum hose diameter
should be 3/8" I.D. Fittings should
have the same inside dimensions
and should be tightly secured.
AIR SUPPLY
Lubricate the air motor daily with
NAPA air tool oil. If no air line oiler
is used, run 1/2 oz. of oil through
the tool. The oil can be squirted
into the tool air inlet or into the
hose at the nearest con nec tion to
the air supply, then run the tool.
Overfilling will cause a re duc tion in
the power of the tool.
LUBRICATION
Tools of this class operate on
a wide range of air pres sures.
We recommend that air pressure
mea sures 90 PSI at the air inlet
while in use. Low pressure (less
than 90 psig 6.2 bar) re duc es the
speed and performance of all air
tools. High pres sure (over 90 psig
6.2 bar) exceeds the rated capacity
of the tool, which will short en tool
life through faster wear and could
cause injury.
Always use clean, dry air. Dust,
corrosive fumes, and/or water in
please revieW all Warning insTrucTions prior To operaTion. save This Man u al for fuTure ref er ence.
OPERATION
This im pact ratchet wrench is rated
at 3/8" USS bolt size. Rat ing must
be down grad ed for spring U bolts,
tie bolts, long cap screws, double
depth nuts, badly rust ed conditions
and spring fas ten ers as they absorb
much of the impact power. When
possible, clamp or wedge the bolt
to prevent springback.
Soak rusted nuts in pen e trat ing
oil and break rust seal before
removing with im pact ratchet
wrench.
If nut does not start to move in
three to five sec onds, use a larger
size ratchet wrench. Do not use
ratchet wrench be yond rated
ca pac i ty as this will dras ti cal ly
reduce tool life.
The reversing button is used to
change the rotation of the tool.
When the button is turned to the
left, the tool is in a for ward or
right hand ro ta tion. When the but-
ton is turned to the right, the
ro ta tion is reverse or left hand.
NOTE: Actual torque on a fastener
is directly related to joint hardness,
tool speed, condition of socket
and the time the tool is allowed
to impact. Use the simplest
possible tool-to-socket hook up.
Every connection absorbs energy
and reduces power.
