battery cartridge, three (3) CR123 (DL123) size batteries.

Installing Batteries
WARNINGS:
DO NOT MIX OLD AND NEW BATTERIES. DO NOT MIX BRANDS OF BATTERIES. DO NOT
MIX DISPOSABLE AND RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES.
INSPECT BATTERIES FOR BULGING PRIOR TO USE. IF THE BATTERY SHOWS SIGNS OF
BULGING, DO NOT USE.
DO NOT DAMAGE, PUNCTURE, SHORT CIRCUIT, ATTEMPT TO RECHARGE OR
OTHERWISE TAMPER WITH BATTERIES. TURN OFF THE ATLAS IF THE BATTERY
COMPARTMENT BECOMES TOO HOT. IF POSSIBLE, WAIT UNTIL IT COOLS DOWN
BEFORE REMOVING BATTERIES.
ALWAYS REMOVE BATTERIES WHEN STORING OR SHIPPING THE ATLAS.
THE USE OF REPUTABLE BRAND NAME, HIGH QUALITY BATTERIES IS RECOMMENDED.
BATTERIES OF LESSER QUALITY MAY HAVE SIGNIFICANTLY SHORTER LIFE.
