This manual provides the user with information related to operations, maintenance, and

Introduction
ATLAS is an uncooled universal thermal binocular detecting the long IR part of the spectrum (7.5
-
13.5 μm) and designed to meet the demands of security professionals, nature enthusiasts,
sailors, hunters, and sportsmen alike. ATLAS offers unsurpassed performance when used for
search and rescue operations, surveillance, perimeter control, and vehicle identification in
addition to a wide variety of other applications.
The rugged and lightweight ATLAS combines an engineered plastic housing with optics that will
satisfy the most stringent and demanding requirements. Regardless of ambient light conditions,
smoke or haze, ATLAS detects even the slightest temperature differences of everything in the
field of view and provides the user with
clear “white hot”, “black hot”, colored or “edge-detected”
