HEADPHONE VOLUME WARNING
Connect earphones with the volume set low and increase it if required. Prolonged listening through some earphones at high volume settings
can result in hearing damage. When headphones/earphones are connected, no sound will be emitted from the unit’s speaker. Caution: Avoid
listening to sound at levels which may be harmful to your ears.

Cleaning
WARNING: Disconnect the unit from the mains supply before cleaning.
- Use a soft, dry, clean cloth. Regularly dust the vents at the back or sides.
- Using solvents, abrasive or alcohol-based products risks damaging the appliance.
- If an object or liquid enters inside the appliance, unplug it immediately and have it checked by an authorized engineer.
Notes on disc
* Do not use irregular shape CDs (example: heart-shaped, octagonal ones). It may result in malfunctions.
* Do not place more than one disc in the disc compartment.
* Do not try to open the disc compartment during playing.
* Do not touch the lens. Doing so may cause malfunction.
* If there is a scratch, dirt or fingerprints on the disc, it may cause tracking error. Before playing, clean the disc with a cleaning cloth. Wipe the
disc from the center out. Don't store discs in places with high temperatures or high humidity, they can become warped. After playing, store
the disc in its case.
Important Note
Before transporting the unit, remove the disc from the disc compartment.
Quit slacking
A little bit of slack in your tapes can cause scratches on the tape, or worse yet, the tape could break. If you notice some slack in the tape, use
a pencil to tighten it up before you insert it into the cassette holder.
CASSETTE TAPES
To prevent accidental erasure, bread off the plastic tabs on the cassette tape after recording with a screw - driver or other pointed tool. To record
on the tape again, cover the tab opening with adhesive tape, etc.
TO CLEAN THE HEADS AND TAPE PATHS
After every 10 hours of use, clean the Recording heads and Playback head, the pinch roller and capstan. Use a cotton swab it slightly moistened
with cleaning fluid or denatured alcohol.
CAUTION:
To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not remove the cover (or back). There are no user serviceable parts
inside the unit. Refer all servicing to qualify personnel.
IMPORTANT
• Clean the player with a soft cloth, or a damp chamois leather. Never use solvents.
• Make sure that you keep your set away from water and high temperatures.
• Do not use your system immediately after transporting it from a cold place to a warm place, as condensation may cause the system to
malfunction.
• To prevent personal injury, do not reverse any batteries and do not mix battery types.
• The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and that no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the
apparatus.
• No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the apparatus.
• Attention should be drawn to the environmental aspects of battery disposal.
• The rating plate is located at the back of apparatus.
• Do not throw batteries in fire!
• The disconnect devices is the mains plug of apparatus. To be completely disconnect the power input, the mains plug of apparatus shall be
disconnected from the mains. The mains plug of apparatus should not be obstructed OR should be easily accessed during intended use.
• Excessive sound pressure from earphones and headphones can cause hearing loss.
• Minimum distances 5 cm around the apparatus for sufficient ventilations.
• The ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings with items such as newspaper, table-cloths, curtains etc.
• Attention should be drawn to the environmental aspects of battery disposal.
• The use of apparatus in moderate climates.
The lightening flash with arrowhead symbol within the triangle is a warning sign alerting the user of “ dangerous voltage” inside the unit.
The exclamation point within the triangle is a warning sign alerting the user of important instructions accompanying the product.

1. Press to open the cassette door and insert a normal (TAPE) blank tape in the cassette compartment.
2. Slide the function switch [RADIO-TAPE (OFF)-CD/AUX] to CD/AUX position.
3. Place the CD disc to the CD compartment.
4. Press

button to select your desired track. Press to play your selected track.
5. Press together with the button to start recording.
6. To suspend momentarily the recording, press . To resume record release .
7. To stop recording, press .
8. To listen to your recording, slide the function switch [RADIO-TAPE (OFF)-CD/AUX] to TAPE (OFF) position, press
rewind the tape to
search your recording, press to listen.
1. Connect one end of the cable (not supplied) to the auxiliary input connector of the device.
2. Connect the other end of the cable to the headphones jack or the line out jack of your external audio appliance.
3. Slide the function switch [RADIO-TAPE (OFF)-CD/AUX] to CD/AUX position.
4. Normally use your external audio appliance; the sound automatically goes through the speakers of your device.
5. Adjust the volume to the desired level.
6. Disconnect the external appliance from the auxiliary input to stop playback, and then Slide the function switch [RADIO-TAPE (OFF)-CD/
AUX] to TAPE (OFF) position.
