8.0 Possible faults and remedies

Fault

Remedy

After transfer of data engraving

head moves from start position but

stops and starts buzzing.

Controller is switched off.

Changing engraving head to plotter

head plotter/penstation does not

react to data transferred from PC.

Serial connection cable from

controller to plotter MUST be

disconnected from plotter.

Cables not connected correctly.

Wrong output device selected.

Plotter deos not react to data and

all four LEDs are flashing.

After transfer of data engraving

head moves into penstation.

Wrong firmware version installed on

plotter.

Engraving head cannot move deep

enough for engraving.

Red clip is not set correctly.
