5.3.4.3.1 Run (Generate Data)
The HDBaseT report data collection feature is used to collect the data required to perform HDBaseT
cable analysis.
To access data for HDBaseT cable analysis:
Connect the
MU-M4SOL
test device to both ends of the CATx cable, as shown below in
Figure 33:
◼ The HDMI cable must be connected to the Internal Generator to ensure that HDMI
traffic is running on the HDBaseT link.
◼ The “local” side of the cable is connected to either the tr ansmitter or receiver module,
housed in the
MU-M4SOL
chassis.
◼ The “remote” side of the cable is connected to the othe r
MU-M4SOL
module.
Make sure that the remote module is terminated by a Pluggable POH Adapter as
shown below.

IMPORTANT
The HDMI cable must be connected to the Internal Generator to ensure that HDMI traffic is running on the
HDBaseT link.
