LOW BATTERY
2.4.1
Low Battery Warning (Optional Feature)
When this feature is available, the standby screen shows the Low Battery symbol
when the unit battery needs replacing.
The unit can also be programmed to give an audible alert when the symbol shows
on the screen.
NOTE:
Rechargeable batteries give a lower voltage than disposable batteries.
This can cause the low battery warning system to operate earlier than
necessary. If rechargeable batteries are used, it is recommended that the
Low Battery warning system is not selected.
2.4.2
Replacing the Battery
a)
Set the Pager to OFF (see paragraph 2.2.11).
Failure to do this will cause all
stored messages to be deleted and the clock to be reset.
b)
Refer to Figure 2.3. Use a thumbnail to press down on the battery door lock on
the back of the unit. Hold the door lock down and push the battery door in the
direction shown. Rotate the door as shown in Figure 2.3 to gain access to the
battery.
c)
Remove the old battery.
d)
Refer to the diagram in the battery compartment and install the new battery.
