EATURES
x
High-quality 9, 12 or 16-channel receiver assembled using
the latest SMT methods, exploiting MULTIPLEX 2.4 GHz
M-LINK technology for demanding applications.
x
Telemetry / down-link capability:
Receiver battery voltage and connection quality
= standard features.
Two integral sensor ports for external sensor modules.
x
Dual
receivers:
Each receiver features two complete receive circuits working
in parallel (receiver diversity).
This ensures excellent reception quality by minimising
directional effects.
x
Status LED for each receiving circuit:
For optimising aerial positions during range-checks, and for
checking the operation of both receive circuits.
x
Prepared for two-receiver operation:
Diversity lead (
# 8 5070
) required.
x
Additional signal pre-amplification:
For maximum sensitivity and therefore outstanding reception
quality at maximum system range.
x
Integral SET button and LED:
For binding, FAIL-SAFE programming, RESET and
displaying operating status information.
x
HOLD / FAIL-SAFE function.
x
Integral error counter / data logger:
Voltage and signal errors indicated directly by means of
separate LEDs on the receiver.
x
High-quality gold-plated connector contacts. Supplementary
MULTIPLEX M6 high-current connector for secure power
supply connection.
x
Servo sockets 1 … 9 (or 1 … 12 or 1 … 16) and sensorports
S protected against short-circuit / overload situations by
individual fuses.
Maximum load: 5.0 A cont., 7.5 A for 10 seconds.
x
Cable retainer clip.
x
All receiver types feature interchangeable aerials: different
lengths are available for optimising the aerial installation in
particular models.
x
MULTImate
(
# 8 2094
) compatible.
x
Integral
PC
interface:
Carry out updates and change settings using the
RX DataManager
PC program.

A
PPLICATIONS
The
RX-9-DR pro M-LINK
,
RX-12-DR pro M-LINK
and
RX-16-DR
pro M-LINK
2.4 GHz receivers (abbreviated to
RX-9/12/16-DR
pro M-LINK
in this document) are radio control system receivers
intended exclusively for model sport applications. It is prohibited
to employ them for other purposes such as in full-size (people-
carrying) vehicles or industrial installations.
5.
C
OMPATIBILITY
The
RX-9/12/16-DR pro M-LINK
2.4 GHz receivers can only be
operated in conjunction with transmitters which utilise MULTI-
PLEX M-LINK transmission technology.
These are as follows (correct as of May 2010):
x
ROYALpro 7
,
9
and
16 M-LINK
.
x
ROYALevo
or
pro 7
,
9
and
12
with firmware version V3.xx
and the HFM4 M-LINK 2.4 GHz RF module.
x
PROFImc 3010
,
3030
and
4000
with the HFM3 M-LINK
2.4 GHz RF module.
x
COCKPIT SX M-LINK
.
x
MULTIPLEX transmitters
with the HFMx M-LINK 2.4 GHz
RF module.

S
UPPLY
RX-9/12/16-DR pro M-LINK
receivers work within a broad range
of voltages from 3.5 V … 9.0 V, i.e. they can be used with
receiver batteries consisting of four to six NiXX cells or 2S LiPo /
2S LiIo.
!
Note:
if you intend to use a five-cell or six-cell NiXX battery,
or a 2S LiPo or 2S LiIo pack, it is essential to check that all the
servos, gyros and other components connected to the system
are approved for use with this higher operating voltage.
