stEP 6.
With your full-body fall arrest tether/tree belt secured as high up the tree
trunk as possible, gently step up onto the standing platform. With your weight
centered in the middle of the standing platform, slowly reach down and rotate the
seating platform over the standing platform while stepping over and through it
and back onto the standing platform.
stEP 7.
With your weight centered on the standing platform, slide your left foot
under the cinching strap/foot strap. Repeat for the right foot. Next, gently slide
the heel cord up and over your boot heel as shown in Figure 6. With both your
feet secured in the cinching straps/foot straps, grasp the seating platform (by the
padded armrests) and raise it gently up to just below your buttocks when standing
erect as shown in Figure 7. Make certain the bark biters are square to the tree trunk.
stEP 8.
Gently sit down on the padded seating
platform rail to set the bark biters into the tree
trunk as shown in Figure 8.
WarnInG!
Do not
bounce or jump on
any portion of the climbing treestand in an
attempt to seat it to the tree. Failure to follow
these instructions may result in serious injury
or death!
stEP 9.
While sitting on the padded seating
platform rail, turn your feet downward slightly
to free the standing platform from the tree.
Gently raise it by lifting your knees upward as
shown in Figure 9. Raise the standing platform
up a comfortable distance (typically about 8”
(20 cm) to 10” (25 cm)). Engage the standing
platform to the tree trunk by pressing down
with your heels and lifting your toes. Make
certain the bark biters and climbing cable are
firmly re-engaged on the tree trunk.
stEP 10.
Ease your weight back onto the
standing platform. With your feet squarely underneath you and
in the cinching straps/foot straps, stand up. Slide the full-body
fall arrest harness tether/tree belt up the tree as far as possible as
shown in Figure 10. With your full-body fall arrest tether/tree belt
raised, gently lift the seating platform up the same distance as you
previously raised the standing platform (typically about 8” (20 cm)
to 10” (25 cm)).
stEP 11.
Gently sit back down on the seating platform padded
rail. Repeat this procedure (STEPS 8 through 11) to climb to the
desired hunting/use height. It is of the utmost importance that you
remember to raise the full-body fall arrest harness tether/tree belt
up each time you climb higher.
WarnInG!
nEVEr
adjust the length of the climbing cable or attempt to level either the seating or standing platforms at heights above ground-level. All
adjustments must be made at ground-level. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious injury or death!
