2.2 Engine side and cylinder designations

Engine sides are always designated as viewed from the driving end (KS).
For cylinder identification (as per DIN ISO 1204), the individual cylinders of the in-line engine are num‐

bered. The cylinders are numbered starting with No. 1 on driving end.
Other components are numbered in the same way, i.e. starting with No. 1 on driving end.
