8.2.2 Cylinder head cover – Removal and installation

Preconditions

☑

Engine is stopped and starting disabled.

Special tools, Material, Spare parts

Removing cylinder head cover

Note:

Cover the engine beneath the cylinder head
with cloths to collect emerging oil.

Undo and remove screws.

Remove cylinder head cover.

Clean installation surface.

Check condition of gasket and replace if re-
quired.

Installing cylinder head cover –
10V

Coat gasket with engine oil and install it.

Position cylinder head cover and screws at positions 1 to 4 and tighten with torque wrench to the prescribed
initial tightening torque.
