WARNING
Fuels are combustible and explosive.
Risk of fire and explosion!
• Avoid open flames, electrical sparks and ignition sources.
• Do not smoke.
• Wear protective clothing, protective gloves, and safety glasses / facial protection.
Variant A – Venting fuel system
with external fuel pump
Note:
Do not open the high pressure system when
putting into operation and servicing.
1.
Open the unpressurized return to the tank (1)
and connect to the tank or a suitably large
vessel.
2.
Open vent valve (3) on fuel filter.
Note:
The customer must establish the connection
in the fuel supply line (2) as close to the con-
nection on the engine as possible.
3.
Vent fuel filter by activating electric fuel
pump.
4.
Close vent valve (3) on fuel filter.
5.
Activate the electric fuel pump until flow can
be heard at the HP pump. Fuel emerges from
the return to the tank (1) now.
6.
Connect return to tank (1).
7.
Start engine.
