CHECKING THE LITESPEED RX STABILITY SYSTEM
Step One
Step Two
Unclip the front wires, lift the keel to level, that is, zero degrees. With the VG system fully applied, measure the angle
of the dive sticks.
Step Three
Obtain the correct measurement for your glider from one of the tables below.
Option One
Hang the glider from three points to simulate its
flying position.
The three positions are;
1. the keel behind the rear wires,
2. the left side wing where the bottom side
wire exits the sail, and
3. the right side wing where the bottom side
wire exits the sail.
Option Two
An alternative to hanging the glider is to raise
the glider by using three support structures,
such as ladders.
Please note when measuring, that the difference between supported
and un-supported cross bars gives approximately a 0.3 degree
difference in angles. The DHV and Moyes measure with supported
cross bars, which results in lower figures. CIVL measure with un-
supported cross bars.
