OPERATION
Personal protective equipment
• Wear protective gloves.
• Wear protective goggles.
• Wear hearing protection for protection from continuous noise in the work place.
• Wear dust mask for protection from airborne dust.
Check whether the type of the plug corresponds with the type of the socket.
The data on the nameplate must correspond with the actual power supply voltage.
Warning! Risk of injury! Make sure that the on/off switch (1) is not pressed down or
locked by the locking button (2) before plugging the power cord to the outlet. Pay
attention when working that the air vents are not covered up or congested.
Switching on
Press the switch (1) and hold it.
Switching off
Release the switch.
Switching permanent run on
Press the switch (1) fully, push the locking button (2) and release the switch. This will lock the switch and
keep the machine running.
Switching permanent run off
Press the switch (1) again and release it. The machine will stop.
Warning! Risk of injury! Should the power tool fall out of your hand during operation, it
will not be automatically switched off. In this case, immediately pull out the power plug
from the power outlet to safely switch the tool off.
Adjusting the belt speed
The sanding belt speed can be set using the setting wheel (3). The required speed depends on the
material and the working conditions and should be tested on a sample of material.
Sanding
• Pay attention to apply uniform sanding pressure; this increases the working life of the sanding belts.
Do not exert too much pressure on the tool.
• Regularly check the condition of the sanding belt. Replace when necessary.
• On very uneven surfaces, start with a coarse grit and gradually change to a fine grit for smooth finish.
• Always use a suitable sanding belt for the material being worked on (wood, steel, paint etc.).
