10. Advanced settings
10.1 Change the PIN code
Some functions are protected by a 4 digit PIN code which
must be entered if you want to change the settings. The
default PIN is 0000. You can change this to your own
preferred number, the maximum length is 8 digits.
When you enter a PIN, the digits are shown as
**** .
1. Press , the display shows PHONEBOOK .
2. Scroll to
ADVANCED SET
and press .
3. The display shows CHANGE PIN . Press .
4. Enter the current 4 digit PIN code and press .
5. Enter the new PIN and press .
6. Press to return to standby.
Note
If you forget your PIN you can reset the handset to take it
back to the default setting.
10.2 Registration
You can register up to 4 cordless handsets to your SC200
corded base to extend your phone system without having to
install extension sockets for each new phone.
Each SC200 cordless handset can be registered with up to
four bases. You can then select the base you prefer to use.
The SC200 cordless handset comes pre-registered to the base.
9.5 To set the alarm tone
You can adjust the alarm ringer melody. There are 3
melodies to choose from.
1. Press
, the display shows PHONEBOOK .
2. Scroll to CLOCK&ALARM and press .
3. Scroll to ALARM TONE and press .
4. Scroll or to select the melody and press
to confirm.
5. Press to return to standby.
9.6 Switch off alarm ring
When the alarm sounds, press any button to switch it off.
NOTE
If you are using the handset to make a call when the alarm
ring is due, you will hear a beep in the earpiece.
