Setting Up the 9570 Portable Dock

Connecting the External Antenna

You must connect the 9570 Portable Dock to an
external antenna—either a fixed mast antenna
installed on a building or boat, or a mobile antenna
installed in a vehicle. The antenna enables the
9570 Portable Dock to communicate with the
satellite network.

To connect the antenna:

1.

Read and follow the instructions in the
appropriate installation guides (10-meter
cable installation guide, custom cable kit
installation guide, mobile antenna installation
guide) to install the antenna, optional cable
system, lightning arrestor/surge protector,
and any other antenna equipment.

2.

Attach the antenna cable connector by
pushing it onto the coupler on the side of the
9570 Portable Dock and turning it clockwise
until tight.

Important:

Be sure to leave enough slack in the

cable to allow the coupler to be swiveled freely
back and forth.

To disconnect the antenna:

1.

Turn the antenna cable connector
counterclockwise.

2.

Pull the connector free.
