Using FAVORITES
Download Magic applications
1. Enter Java by selecting Magic in UNI menu.
2. Press Menu softkey. (You can do it by presssing
[MENU] )
3. Select
‘5. Download’from the menu by pressing Select softkey.(
[Select] again)
4. Select whichever server you want to connect from the server list. First, You should highlight the server you want to connect by

5. Press
[UNI] softkey. Then the phone tries to connect the server.
6. The phone displays the applications(applets) and the folders of the server. If you want to download an application, you should
highlight if first by using
, And then you can start the download sequence by pressing
[ U N I ] .
7. If the download start successfully, the phone will display information of the application. In the information screen, you should
press Download softkey. Then the phone downloads the application and displays
‘Installation Successful’when it is successful.
8. If you want to go into a directory, you can do it by highlighting and pressing . similar to the case of applications.
Key usage in Magic
The key usage in Java is similar to normal user interface of the phone. The followings are the key usage in Java.

: You can execute the application you want by pressing
. You can also download an application or go into a directory
while being connected to the download server. It might be used as fire key in game applications.

● For connecting to the download server. both Data Profile of the phone’
s main menu and the Profile(s) in U-magic’
s Wireless Setup menu
should be set up properly. For setting Data Profile, you should enter
‘Setting →Data Mode →Data Profile’from the phone’
s Main Menu and
fill in appropriate values for Profile Name, Dial in number, user name and password. Only profile 5 is editable by user. For selecting Data
profile used in U-magic you should enter
‘U-magic Menu →Wireless Setup →Select ISP’and select one data profile you want to use.
For setting Profile(s) in U-magic’
s Wireless Setup, you should enter
‘U-magic Menu →Wireless Setup →Profile →Profile x’
and fill in appropriate values for Profile name, Host name, Port, Default path and so on.
● When using the network and accidentally downloaded a virus intected software which leads to the malfunctioning of your V3a, Motorola
will not be responsible for any damage or loss due to this kind of incident.
● If there is an incoming call during sound play in U-magic application such as Karaoke, the sound might not resume after hanging up, In
this case, you might have to end restart the application.
Execute Magic applications
1. Enter Java by selecting
‘M a g i c’from the Shortcut menu.
2. Highlight the application you want to execute by using

3. Press
. Then the application starts. You can also do it by pressing Menu softkey and selecting
