General-Purpose Readable Jumpers (J1)

Each MVME167P may be configured with readable jumpers. These 
jumpers can be read as a register (at address $FFF4 0088) in the 
VMEchip2 Local Control/Status register (refer to the Programmer’s 
Reference Guide
 for details). The bit values are read as a 1 when the 
jumper is off, and as a 0 when the jumper is on. The MVME167P is 
shipped from the factory with all jumpers installed, as diagrammed below.

VME System Controller (J6)

The MVME167P can operate as VMEbus system controller. The system 
controller function is enabled/disabled by jumpers on header J6. When the 
MVME167P is system controller, the SCON LED is turned on. The 
VMEchip2 may be configured as a system controller as shown below.
