™ USER GUIDE 

Help Viewer 

The Help Viewer is an online 
reference to the features and 
operation of your Motorola 

homesight

 Software system and 

devices.  It uses a window that is 
separate from the main window, 
allowing you to position it 
alongside the main window. 

To view Help for any screen that 
is shown in the main window, 
press the F1 key on your 
keyboard. The Help Viewer 
window will pop up to display 
information about that screen. 

The Help Viewer window is 
divided into three sections or 

panes

: a Navigation  pane (at the 

left of the window), a Toolbar 
pane (at the top of the window), 
and a Topic pane (at the right of 
the window). You will use the 
Navigation pane when browsing 
or searching for information. The 
Toolbar pane features buttons 
and menus that you can use to 
control page-to-page browsing, 
printing, and viewing. The Topic 
pane contains the help text and 
illustrations. 

Using your mouse, you can resize 
the Help Viewer window, move it
