SYMPTOM

POSSIBLE  CAUSES

REMEDY

a) Faulty flywheel magnet

wínding

Check the resistance value of the fìywheel magnet winding after
disconnecting wires from terminals 5 and 6 of the terrninal strip.

The reading should be 2.6-2.8 ohms ± 10 % at room
temperature.

If not the coil must be replaced.

b) Faulty alternator

excitation winding
