Scoring is also carried out on the output shafts.
The Scoring wheel is split into two halves and is fitted to the upper
output shaft.
Set up the feeder and wind a single sheet through the machine. As
it approaches the output shafts, the Scorer should be positioned
so that it aligns with the required position on the job.
Continue to wind the sheet through the machine and then move the
lower hubs up to, but not touching, the Scorer blade as shown in
Fig. 9.11
The actual spacing between the lower hubs and the Scorer blade is
critical and may require some experimentation to obtain a
satisfactory Score line.
Move the other hubs as shown in Fig. 9.11
