Refilling the water tank
If the water tank needs to be refilled during use, switch the unit off and remove the plug from the
socket. Before opening the lid from the water tank to refill the tank, release the steam pressure by
pressing the steam trigger and allow the cleaner to cool down completely. The water tank can be
refilled as follows: remove the lid by pressing it down and turning it anti-clockwise. Fill the tank
with 1200ml of water using the measuring cup and funnel. Replace the lid and close it tightly by
turning in the clockwise direction.
Note:
Even after a cooling down period of 5 minutes, the water remaining in the tank and the lid
will still be hot. Always take care when removing the lid, since hot steam may escape and the
heat of the lid can cause burns.
Do not add cleaning solutions, scented perfumes, oils or any other chemicals to the water
used in this device, as this may damage the device and make it unsafe for use.
Do not exceed the maximum prescribed fill of 1200ml for the water tank.
The use of distilled water is recommended in areas with hard water to avoid lime scale
deposits.
After use
Turn off the device by pressing the on/off switch and unplug the device from the wall socket. Allow
the device to cool down completely.
Release any steam pressure by pressing the steam trigger (10) on the handle and set the safety
lock (11) to the off position. Empty the water tank by turning the device upside down.
Note: always take care as the water can still be hot.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Note:
Always switch off the device and unplug from the wall socket before cleaning.
Never immerse the device and/or the power cord in water or other liquids.
Cleaning the device
Turn the device off and let it cool down completely. Clean the device and accessories with a damp
cloth and a mild detergent and allow to dry completely.
Note: never use abrasives, bleaching agents or steel wool to clean the device. This could cause
damage to the material.
Rinsing the water tank
To clean the water tank, we recommend that you fill it with water, close the lid and shake the unit
vigorously. This will release any lime-scale deposits that have collected on the bottom of the tank.
Pour the water out by holding the cleaner upside down.
Lime-scale removal
To extend the life of your device it is recommended to descale the appliance every six months.
Switch the device off and remove the plug from the socket. Fill the tank with 1200 ml of 50°C hot
water and add one or two descaling tablets. Pour the water out as described above after 30
minutes. Even better to descale with vinegar.
