Problem
Possible Causes
Solution
When the wall switch on the
control box is in the on position
the fans are not running.
No power to the control box or the power
from the control box is not connected to
the fireplace.
Fan Dial could be turned down.
Test the power outlet for a full 110 Volts of power. Make sure
that the power from the control box is connected to the PPO
box of the fireplace.
The fans are running but the
glow plug is not glowing red.
Fans are running too slow or air intake
under the door is restricted.
Turn the fan speed to a higher speed that will power up the
smart valve.
The glow plug is glowing but the
pilot is not burning.
No gas to the fireplace, or air blocking the
gas from reaching the burner.
Check the gas valve and make sure it is in the on position
make sure that the air has been bled out of the gas supply
line.
Fans are running at maximum
speed and glow plug is not
glowing.
No power to the valve
Remove the power supply plug and test for voltage when
fans are running at full speed.
If you measured 24 or more volts on the plug, replace gas
valve.
Water may have penetrated the gas valve.
Losing the main burner flame on
a windy day
The wind is too strong to overcome the
blowers from the fireplace
If the unit does not light at maximum fan speed in high-wind
conditions, toggle the fan speed to low
