CAUTION
When cleaning the air filter element, make sure it is not damage. If it
is damaged, replace it.
•
Clean the inner side of the air filter (2) with a clean cloth.
•
Clean the inlet duct (3).
Air filter replacement
CAUTION
Never reuse an old air filter element.
•
Replace the air filter element (1) with a new one of the same type.
•
Then, connect the filter box cover together with the air filter element.
•
Refit the filter box cover by securing it with the four screws.
•
Reassemble the seat (see page 29).
Coolant level
•
Do not use the vehicle if the coolant level is below the maximum mark.
•
When carrying out maintenance operations, it is advisable to wear latex gloves.
•
Bring your motorcycle to an official Mondial dealer to replace the coolant.
Coolant solution is 50% water and 50% antifreeze fluid.
This is the ideal mixture for most operating temperatures and provides good corrosion protection.
It is advisable to use the same mixture even in hot weather as this minimizes loss due to evaporation and the need of frequent fills.
Thus, less evaporated water means fewer mineral salt deposits in the radiators, which helps preserve the efficiency of the cooling
system. When the external temperature drops below zero degrees centigrade, check the cooling system frequently and add more
antifreeze solution if needed (up to 60% max.).
Use distilled water in the coolant mixture to avoid damaging the engine.
