To save battery power, always remember to

switch off the wireless microphones after operation .

5.1.1 Limiter

The red LED LIMITER (25) lights up when the
limiter limits the volume at the maximum undis-
torted level . If the LED lights permanently, use the
control LEVEL (13 or 19) to reduce the volume .

5.1.2 Volume attenuation during

microphone announcements

During microphone announcements, the volume
of the MP3 / CD player and of the audio unit con-
nected to the jack LINE IN (17) can be attenuated
automatically . This will make it easier to under-
stand announcements .
1) Use the switch MUSIC RETURN TIME (21) to

attenuate the volume:

LONG   After an announcement, the attenua-

tion will be deactivated with a delay .

OFF

no attenuation

SHORT   After an announcement, the attenua-

tion will be deactivated immediately .

2) Use the control DEPTH (22) to adjust the level

of attenuation . When the control is set to the
left stop, the volume will not be attenuated .

When the volume is attenuated during an an-
nouncement, the green LED on the left of the
control will light up .

5.2.1 Remote control

1) To insert or replace the batteries (2 × 1 .5 V, size

AAA), remove the cover of the battery com-
partment on the rear of the remote control .
Insert the batteries as indicated in the battery
compartment and close the cover .

If the remote control is not in use for a

longer period of time, remove the batteries to
prevent any damage due to battery leakage .

2) When pressing a button on the remote con-

trol, always point the remote control at the
sensor REMOTE (8) . Make sure that there are
no obstacles between the remote control and
the sensor .

3) If the range of the remote control decreases, the

batteries are discharged and must be replaced .

Never put batteries in the household
waste; always take them to a special
waste disposal, e . g . collection container
at your retailer .

5.2.2 Replaying music titles

Switch on the active speaker system with the
button POWER (24) . “Welcome” will appear on
the display (7) . The CD player will load the CD . If
no CD has been inserted, the player will load the
USB flash drive . If no USB flash drive has been
connected, ”NO DISC” will appear on the display .
1) Insert a CD, lettering facing up, into the slot (1)

until it is pulled in automatically

and / or
connect a USB flash drive or a hard disk (with
individual power supply, if required) to the USB
port (6) .

2) If required, select the storage medium (CD,

USB flash drive) with the button USB (10) or
CD (11) .

3) When the data storage medium has been

loaded, the first title will start automatically .

4) All other functions can be found in the table

on page 15 .

Note:

Due to the large number of storage device man-

ufacturers and device drivers, it cannot be guaranteed
