Program
= display of the selected programme
number (1 – 48)
Name
= four characters as a maximum to identify
the programme or the camera. All capital letters
and numerals as well as some special characters
are available. The blank space is between “?” and
“A”.
After selecting the line “Name”, the first character
position blinks. Select the desired character with
the button “L+” or “L-”. Then go to the next charac-
ter position with the button “P-”. From the 4
th
char-
acter position, the unit goes to the line “Freq.” with
the button “P-”.
Freq.
= receiving frequency; it is preset for each
channel and can be changed in steps of 0.25 MHz.
With a poor receiving quality the unit switches be-
tween blue background and received picture and
back to improve the readability.
Channe
l = receiving channel
For channel selection please pay attention to
chapter 4.3.2.
AFC
= automatic fine tuning,
for model AV-5810RDX without function
Video
= selection of the video signal polarity
normal polarity according to standard
inverse the video signal is inverted;
this function can be used for encoded
transmission if the transmitter is also able
to transmit the video signal in an inverted
way
AV-Rel.
= with perfect picture reception the relay
contacts “AV channel” (14) are closed (setting
“n.c.”) or opened (setting “n.o.”).
SW-Rel.
= If the control channel is activated on the
transmitter or on the wireless camera, the relay
contacts “switching channel” (14) are closed (set-
ting “n.c.”) or opened (setting “n.o.”).
Starting from this menu line, the second menu
page is called with the button “P-” (6).

Audio
= switching the audio reproduction on or off
Signal
= signal sound via the outputs “audio A”
(10) and “audio B” (11)
off
no signal sound
AV
a short signal sound as soon as a picture
is perfectly received.
SW
a short signal sound when activating the
control channel on the transmitter (if
available, see operating instructions of
the transmitter).
“AV” and “SW” can be selected at the same time.
Auto
= automatic switching mode (chapter 5.2)
off
with the switching mode activated, all pro-
grammes adjusted with “off” are skipped.
1...9 s
dwell time in seconds for which the pro-
gramme remains activated in the switching
mode
Hold
= hold function
This function serves for extending the automatic
switching mode and cannot individually be activat-
ed for each programme.
If “Hold” is switched off, in the switching mode the
programmes for which a dwell time has been
adjusted are called successively.
If the unit is switched to “AV” in the line “Hold”, in
the activated switching mode the receiver stops on
the programme, on the channel of which a perfect
picture is received. (If several video signals are
received at the same time, the unit is switched to
the picture received first.) If several transmitters
are used which are equipped with an automatic,
movement-controlled switch-on system, the re-
ceiver is switched in case of activated hold func-
tion to the transmitter which has recognized a
movement in the camera picture.
In the switching mode, with the setting “SW”, the
receiver remains on the programme slot, on the
channel of which a control signal is received.
“AV” and “SW” can be selected at the same time.
If the hold function is activated, “on” is displayed in
the line “Auto” instead of the dwell time.
Day

Year
Hour
Minute
= setting of date and time
2) To store changes for the present programme, keep
the button “OK” (7) pressed until the menu is extin-
guished (approx. 3 seconds).
3) To delete individual settings and to recall the fac-
tory setting, switch off the unit. Keep the button
“OK” pressed, and at the same time switch on the
receiver.
4.3.2 Channel Selection
The wireless transmission is made in the 5.8 GHz
range on 16 channels with a distance of 9 MHz. On
the receiver, the same channel must be adjusted as
on the transmitter, and the reception antenna must be
aligned in parallel to the transmitting antenna.
For simultaneous operation of several transmitters
and receivers use a different channel for each pair of
transmitter/receiver. When all transmitting antennas
and reception antennas are aligned the same way
(e. g. all of them in vertical position), always two chan-
nels have to remain vacant between the channels
used. In this case e. g. only the channels 1, 4, 7, 10,
13, and 16 can be used, i. e. a maximum of 6 chan-
nels at the same time.
If it is possible to align the antennas of adjacent
transmitters and receivers differently, only one channel
has to remain vacant between the channels used, e. g.:
channel 1 with vertical polarization
channel 3 with horizontal polarization
channel 5 with vertical polarization
channel 7 with horizontal polarization
etc.
Thus, it is possible to use 8 channels at the same time.
