3 Setting into Operation

Making connections
RIGHT SPEAKER
Connect the passive speaker (without amplifier) to this terminal . Always observe the
correct polarity (never confuse the positive and negative connections) .
INPUT
Connect the signal source (e . g . MP3 / CD player, mixer, computer) to the RCA jacks or
to the 3 .5 mm jack . For mono operation, the signal will be fed to the RCA jack “L”
only (also refer to the line STEREO MONO, second to last) .
230 V~ / 50 Hz
Use the mains cable provided to connect the mains jack to a socket (230 V/ 50 Hz) .
The fuse support is below this jack . Always replace a blown fuse by one of the
same type!
Operation
POWER
Power switch (on / off) . Before switching on, turn the control VOLUME counter-clock-
wise to make sure that the initial volume is not too high .
ON
Power LED; will light up when the active speaker has been switched on .
VOLUME
Control to adjust the desired volume .
BASS + TREBLE
Tone controls to adjust the sound .
MONO STEREO
Selector switch for mono or stereo operation .
When the switch is set to mono, only the left channel will be reproduced .

If there is no input signal for approx . 2 minutes, the active speaker will go to
stand-by: The LED ON will extinguish . As soon as a signal (> 5 mV) is applied, the
speaker will be switched on again .
