Connection
There is a label on every stage indicating its part and serial numbers.
WARNING
Always turn the controller's power OFF before connecting a stage.
NOTE
Supplied cables are compatible with Newport controllers. For more
information, please contact your sales representative.
6.3
Cables
IDL225-LM stages are delivered with three 4.5-meter cables that can be
directly connected to the Newport controller.
WARNING
IDL225-LM Series translation stages can only operate with cable lengths
of 4.5 m or less.
WARNING
These cables are shielded. For correct operation, make sure to lock
connectors (ground continuity provided by cables).
WARNING
Keep the cables at a safe distance from other electrical cables in your
environment to avoid potential cross talk.
6.4
Adapter for the XPS-D Newport Controller
The E5820A adapter supplied with each IDL225-LM stage, allows the
connection of the encoder cable with our XPS-D controller.
