2 Safety information
MKN appliances comply with the relevant safety standards. However,
this does not mean that all possible dangers that may arise, e.g. due to
incorrect operation, can be excluded.
Therefore, when operating the unit, the operating staff must be familiar
with and observe local regulations, e.g. in Germany BGR 111 “Working
in catering kitchens”.
Target group

This operating manual is intended for staff who are responsible for
operating, cleaning and looking after the unit.
●
Repairs to the unit may only be carried out by specially trained
technical staff.
●
The unit may not be used without supervision if
-
users are unable to do so due to their physical, sensory or mental
capabilities,
-
they do not have the knowledge and experience required to
operate the unit safely and in the manner intended.
Hot surfaces
Risk of burns due to hot surfaces
●
Wear insulated protective gloves during operation.
●
Allow surfaces to cool before cleaning.
●
Do not touch the cooking zone immediately after operation.
●
Do not place any pot lids or cutlery on the cooking zone, otherwise
the pot detection function will turn on the heat.
●
Do not wear any watches or rings during operation.
Electricity
Risk of electric shock
●
Do not operate the unit if any controls are damaged.
●
Only put a defective unit back into operation after it has been repaired.
Risk of fire
Risk of fire due to cookware overheating
●
Do not leave the unit unattended during operation.
●
Do not operate the unit with empty cookware.
●
Disconnect the unit from the mains immediately in the event of fire.
●
Never attempt to put out a fire with water. Use ABC fire extinguishers
to put out fires.
