This chapter shows the function list of a high speed data logger module and a configuration tool.

Function List of a High Speed Data Logger Module
This section shows the function list of a high speed data logger module.
Function Description
Data logging function

A function to log CPU module device values at the specified data sampling interval.
Data sampling function A function to sample the device values from the target CPU module. The sampling interval
that can be specified differs depending on the data sampling method.
Continuous logging function A function to continuously log CPU module device values at the specified data sampling
interval.
Trigger logging function A function to only log the specified number of lines worth of CPU module device values
before and after a trigger occurs (specified condition is established).
Scaling function A function to use linear function transformation for sampled device values.
Save function A function to save data logging target data to the SD memory card in the Unicode text file
format, CSV file format, or binary file format.
Event logging function

A function to monitor device values sampled by a CPU module and to log occurred events.
Data sampling function A function to sample the device values from the target CPU module. The sampling interval
that can be specified differs depending on the data sampling method.
Scaling function A function to use linear function transformation for sampled device values.
E-mail notification function A function to notify events to the specified e-mail address by e-mail each time an event
occurs.
Save function A function to save event logging target data to the SD memory card in the Unicode text file
format, CSV file format, or binary file format.
Report function  A function to output data sampled by a high speed data logger module in Excel file format.
By using Excel graphs and calculation formulas, easy-to-read reports can be created.
Data sampling function A function to sample the device values from the target CPU module. The sampling interval
that can be specified differs depending on the data sampling method.
Current value sampling function A function to sample the data to be output to a report when trigger is generated.
Creation trigger function A function to start the report creation at the specified timing.
Scaling function A function to use linear function transformation for sampled device values.
Save function A function to save report files to the SD memory card.
Recipe function A function to execute the following operations using recipe files stored in the SD memory
card.
• Reads device values written on the recipe files to devices in the CPU module.
• Writes device values in the CPU module to the recipe files.
Security function

A function to protect a high speed data logger module against threats such as theft,
tampering, faulty operation, and unauthorized execution due to the unauthorized access by
the third party.
Access authentication function A function to authenticate user name and password to restrict the access to the high speed
data logger module.
IP filter function A function to identify the IP address of the access source and restrict the access to the high
speed data logger module.
