5.1 Connecting the Personal Computer and GOT

Connect the personal computer and the GOT with an RS-232C cable.

For further details, refer to GT Works Version5/GT Designer Version5 Reference

5.2 Installing the OS

Describes the operations for installing the OS program and the communication driver

on the GOT before monitoring.

This chapter describes a specific installation example.

POINT

The GOT does not have the OS program for monitoring or the communication

driver. Therefore, these programs must be installed on the GOT before monitoring.

Once the programs are installed, you do not need to install again unless the version

of OS or the communication method changes.
