PhoneRing
PhoneRing is a tool for selecting a ring tone for your Smartphone. The program can automatically
search the \IPSM\Application Data\Sounds folder (where several ring tones have been added by
your Smartphone manufacturer) for MIDI files so you can select one of them.
On the Home screen, press the Programs soft key, select MiTAC Apps , then PhoneRing , and then
press the Action button to open PhoneRing.
Enabling Booting Music
If you want your Smartphone to play a melody during the startup process, check the Booting Music
option. Otherwise, uncheck the option.
Selecting a Ring Tone
1. Your Smartphone comes preinstalled with several ring tones. If
you want to use your own MIDI file, copy the file to the
\IPSM\Application Data\Sounds folder in the Smartphone using
ActiveSync .

On the Home screen, press the Programs soft key, select
MiTAC Apps , then PhoneRing , and then press the Action
button.

Check the Enable Polyphony option to enable this function. If
you leave this option unchecked, your Smartphone will use the
default ring tone (as mentioned in “Sound” in section 4.1.)

Select the phone line (line 1 or line 2) by pressing the Up / Down
button.

Press the Left / Right button to change the ring tone. Or, you can
open the ring tone list by pressing the Action button and select
from the list. After your selection, press the Action button; or,
press Menu soft key, select Set Ring Tone , and then press the
Action button.

The Smartphone will play the ring tone automatically.
