Manual Feeding (Sheet Documents)

To make copies using manual feeding (sheet documents)

Lift open the original cover, or the duplexing document feeder if it is in-
stalled.

Position the document face down
onto the original glass.

Does the object that is placed on
the original glass exceed the
maximum weight allowable?

Do not place a document heavier
than 4-1/2 lbs. on the original
glass.

Align the corner of the document with
the arrow marks on the document
scales above and to the left of the
original glass.

Close the original cover, or the duplexing document feeder if it is in-
stalled.

Select the desired settings.

Do you need more information about the settings?

Refer to “6 Basic Operations” and “7 Advanced Operations”.

Press the [Start] key to copy the document.
