Converting PEQ to FIR
Generating an FIR filter is a sophisticated operation. Since FIR filters cannot be changed in real time for
subjective auditioning, one approach is to use PEQ to first figure out the headphone correction, then convert the
PEQ settings to an FIR. If desired, additional phase compensation can be implemented at the same time.
For an example, we will use the same EQ shown on page 29. In
