3.5.3
Fitting the Shafts
a.
The detector body needs to be opened in order to fit the shafts to the detector, refer to
Section
3.1 – Opening the Detector Body

b.
The coil must be fitted to the shaft then the shaft fitted to the detector this process is
described in Section
3.4.6 - Fitting the Coil
.
c.
Assemble the detector as described in Section
3.2 - Closing the Detector Body
.
d.
Once the detector is fully assembled check the operation of all moving parts and test the
detector as described in Section
2 - Mechanical & Functional Testing
