4.5.8 Upgrading Firmware

Firmware can be upgraded in an NS40 from the

Flash Firmware

page.

To upload firmware to the device:

Click Choose File. A dialog window will open to select the configuration file on your computer.

Choose the .mst firmware file and click

Open

Select the

Keep Configuration Files

checkbox to keep current device settings during the firmware

upgrade.

Click

Upload Firmware

. Firmware will upload and the device will reboot.

4.5.9 Changing the Unit Serial Number

The serial number of the NS40 unit can be entered in the web interface. The unit serial number is on the
identification label located on the outside of the NS40 enclosure.

Enter the serial number in the

Unit Serial Number

field and press

Reset

The NS40 will reset and may take up to 15 seconds to update. Do not unplug or turn off the power
supply until the unit has reset.
