Fitting the front panel
The front of this appliance can be fitted
with a door panel to match surrounding
units. If the unit is fitted in a MIELE KIT-
CHEN, a door panel with the appropri-
ate dimensions and the necessary
holes pre-drilled can be provided.
If the kitchen is from a manufacturer
other than Miele, it is recommended
that the panel be cut to size and
holes drilled by a specialist, accord-
ing to Miele specifications.
Front panel dimensions:
Height: . . . . . . . . 570 mm (+10/–25mm)
Width: . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 588 - 596 mm
Thickness: . max 19 mm (at the edges)
The template provided serves to locate
and drill the fixing holes for non-Miele
kitchens.
Place the template on the lower
edge of the rear of the door panel.
There are four short parallel marks in
all four corners of the template.
Use these short markings to position
the template correctly.
Example:
On a 594 mm wide panel the 2nd mark-
ing from the centre must line up with
the left and right hand outer edge of
the door panel.
Affix the template to the panel using
adhesive tape.
There are various ways of fixing the
panel in position.
Example 1:
Drill
all
fixing holes for the inner door
panel to the specified depth. On
chipboard fronts: inject silicon seal-
ant (supplied) into the (= Ø 10 mm)
free holes.
Unscrew the lower screws on the top
hinges on both the left and right
hand side of the door (see illustra-
tion.).
Screw the front panel on through drill
holes 1 and 2 of the inner door panel
(see template) -
do not
overtighten,
(screws are supplied).
Align the front panel.
